Apuran River Dredged Soon

Head of West Jakarta Water Management Sub-Department, Pahala Tua stated that his side has completed the discussion of dredging Apuran River which crosses 2 areas of Cengkareng Urban Village, which are Kapuk and Cengkareng Timur.

"We have discussed it and coordinated with the mayor, as planned in near future the river is going to be dredged yet it's gradually since the river is quite long," he stated, Tuesday (11/24).

Joint Officers Cleaned Apuran River

According to him, eventually the dredging will be started from Kapuk Urban Village until RW 03 in Cengkareng Timur Urban Village. Some heavy equipments have also been prepared.

"The process is currentl already on socialization step by the local urban village which tells the residents that there will be demolishment," he said.

He added, besides dredging, his side also planned to demolish inrit (manhole cover) on some connecting channels which are water channel of the river.

"We're going to use standard backhoe sized 200 for the dredging, as for the demolishment we're using manual as the entrance access is very narrow," he explained.
